Repainting History is a series claiming back the female body. I believe that this is important and necessary, because the female nude has ‘belonged’ to male painters for a long time, therefore reflecting and reinforcing the male gaze. I paint historical or mythical scenes from a feminist point of view and the female body through female perception.
