METALART

Nobody sees a flower, really—it is so small—it takes time. We haven’t time, and to see takes time´

Georgia O´Keeffe

Since I started working with metal I have been fascinated by this versatile material. To create subtle and vulnerable things like flowers from a hard, cold material that can only be shaped with force and heat is a captivating process. I research the anatomy of a flower extensively before I make it out of metal, to create life-like, much bigger versions.

My metalwork is available through Galerie Bonnard in Nuenen.

Commissioned work

Every piece of metalart is unique because it is crafted by hand. I use a lot of different techniques to get the right shape: cutting, welding, grinding, forging, plasma cutting and a lot of hammering. See videos and pictures of these different processes below.

Metalwork commissions are possible. If you are interested, please inquire for prices and possibilities via info@theartofrachelclimo.com or check out my existing work at Galerie Bonnard
